Hello
My name is Vicki and I am an artist & designer. I have been painting commissioned children's furniture and gifts from my home studio for over 25 years. I love nothing more than to put my music on and stand painting small detailed images or text. I find it so therapeutic and relaxing.
I also love making props. The more of a challenge the better!
I am lucky to be able to support Rom Theatre Arts & Little Waltham Drama Group, panting scenery and making props for their shows.
My Story
When I left school I went to Art College and specialised in Fashion Design, however once I had left college and was employed in my first designer role I quickly found that this industry was not for me!
I am much too quiet and enjoy a calm environment. I decided to go it alone as an artist and over the years painted murals on London pubs and decorated some fabulous apartments for clients.
Once I had children, my work quickly evolved into children's room murals and personalised furniture
& gifts. I created a studio at home and had a successful small business painting commissioned children's furniture whilst my children were at school.
I love to be busy and I also help my husband in the office of our classic car restoration company
EAB Classic Cars Ltd. I only do this part-time so that I can still have creative projects on the go at all times. I paint furniture and make props. I still paint murals when I am asked to and have even styled some events for friends.
My prop making had always been voluntary for local theatres until recently when I was lucky enough to get a part-time job at Audley End Miniature Railway in their creative team. It is an incredible place to work and visit and the attention to details that goes into the fairy houses, props and grotto is second to none.
I have always felt very lucky to be able to work doing something I love.
