Caravan & camper van remodels

I was totally inspired by George Clarke's Amazing Spaces and I decided I need my own small space to be our home from home at the Goodwood Revival each year.

I started with a 2 berth 1989 Eldiss caravan which I renovated with slight 50's diner inspo. After 6 years I decided an upgrade was in order so I sold it & purchased a 4 berth and started the same process again! I love the result as it's so bright and spacious compared with it's original form.

I am able to undertake a similar remodel on any caravan or camper van you have.

This was the caravan's original kitchen before we took out the sink and hob and replaced with a modern stainless version

Caravan 50's diner remodel

The kitchen cupboards to were painted red o son ehe area from the rest of the paler interior. Vintage tins & a hand painted Coca-cola logo was added to the fridge

Caravan re-model 50's diner (After)

All walls/ceiling were painted white. The upholstery was re-trimmed in grey chenille. New polka dot curtains were made. The carpet was removed and new checkerboard vinyl was laid. The mirror was covered with vintage Beano comics.

4 berth Caravan re-model (before)

This was a higher spec caravan with a fixed bed and rear shower

Caravan remodel (after)

The whole van was painted white and new floor was laid. The seats were re-upholstered in grey chenille. Most of the curtains were removed to let in light as the windows have blackout blinds & mesh
